Medusa as a key work! Already sold twice before launch
Sometimes things happen that confirm everything.
The photo shows Hendrik Skulman and Isadora Skulhart , together with a large work from the Medusa series , 100x150 cm . It's an image we're incredibly proud of.
The Medusa in this work almost appears to be made of ceramic , inlaid with gold and painted blue . It's a work that balances strength and vulnerability, between myth and contemporary art. A true statement piece within the SkullBloom universe.
And then the news that made us shout “hooray” out loud:
Even before the website went live, this work had already been sold twice.
- One copy of 100x150 cm was sold to a hotelier in Rotterdam
- A second copy of 60x90 cm was sold to a trendy bed & breakfast in Recklinghausen (Germany)
That this is happening so early in the process feels like a huge affirmation. This is a key work . A work we have high expectations for and one that perfectly illustrates where SkullBloom, skull art, and art converge.
We love that we can do this between the Netherlands and Germany , that we can travel, test, learn, and connect. This movement fuels our creativity and makes Skull Bloom a living universe instead of a stagnant brand.
This is just the beginning.
But what a beginning.
